Refugees Welcome Berlin: Einladung zum 3. Refugees Welcome Meetup Berlin am 10. November 16
Das Refugees Welcome Meetup findet monatlich, immer am 2. Donnerstag im Monat, um 19 Uhr im Cafe Sociale / Berlin Friedrichshain statt. Ziel unserer Meetup-Reihe ist es, Menschen, die sich in der Flüchtlingsarbeit engagieren (wollen), zusammenzubringen und zu vernetzen.
Der Ablauf
• Beginn 19 Uhr – kurze Vorstellungsrunde aller Teilnehmer
• 2 – 3 Projekte stellen sich vor + anschließende Diskussion – ca. 60 Minuten.
• Austausch in offener Runde
• Es kann getrunken und gegessen werden (Barbetrieb) – jeder bestellt, was er mag und zahlt für sich selbst. Geflüchtete sind eingeladen.
Bringt Flyer und Infomaterial zu Euren Projekten mit! Es gibt einen Tisch, an dem Ihr Euer Material platzieren könnt.
Die Projekte am 10. November
Workeer
David Jacob stellt die Plattform
vor. Workeer ist die erste Ausbildungs- und Arbeitsplatzbörse Deutschlands, die sich speziell an Geflüchtete richtet. Durch die Plattform soll ein geeignetes Umfeld geschaffen werden, in dem diese besondere Gruppe von Arbeitssuchenden auf ihnen gegenüber positiv eingestellte Arbeitgeber trifft. Mit Hilfe von Arbeitgeber- und Bewerberprofilen, sowie zahlreichen Jobangeboten in verschiedenen Branchen und Standorten in ganz Deutschland ermöglichet Workeer den ersten unkomplizierten Kontakt und Austausch zwischen Geflüchteten und Arbeitgebern.
Projekt IPO25: Refugee Help Center
Mandy Bachmann, Cathrin Ebner und Akif Sirlak stellen das Projekt IPO25 – Refugee Help Center vor. Ziel des Projektes ist es, einen Anlauf-, Informations-, Austausch-, und Vernetzungspunkt für Geflüchtete, MigrantInnen und Ehrenamtliche zu schaffen, der auch ausserhalb der üblichen Öffnungszeiten von Beratungsstellen geöffnet ist: Am Wochenende und in den Nachmittags- / Abendstunden. Über die Nutzung und Hilfen von Computer, Faxgerät, Kopierer etc. können HelferInnen entlastet werden und die Neu angekommenen in Berlin können sich selbst informieren. Die Helfer stehen ihnen unterstützend zur Seite. Auch Informationsveranstaltungen etc. können in den Räumen der Oranienstraße 25 angeboten werden.
Sprachcafes in der Oranienstraße
Durch den Treff für HelferInnen im Rahmen des Projektes IPO25 entstehen neue Projektideen, so wie z.B. die Sprachcafes, die Akif Sirlak extra vorstellen wird.

Das Welcome Meetup
Das Welcome Meetup Berlin startete im September 2016 als monatliche Meetup-Reihe, die EUCH zusammenbringen und vernetzen will:
– Initiatoren und Mitarbeiter von Projekten, Initiativen und Vereinen, die sich in der Flüchtlingsarbeit engagieren – Kommunikationsprofis, Multiplikatoren und (potenzielle) Helfer, die noch freie Kapazitäten haben und sich einen Überblick verschaffen wollen, welche Projekte es gibt und wo sie sich einbringen könnten. – Geflüchtete, die den Initiativen aufzeigen können, in welchen Bereichen sie sich mehr Unterstützung wünschen, und natürlich auch Geflüchtete, die sich selbst engagieren wollen.

The third Refugees Welcome Meetup will be held in Berlin on 10th November. The following projects will be presented at the event: Workeer, the job exchange for refugees / Projekt IPO25 – the Refugee Help Center / Language cafés in [JE1] .
The aim of our series of monthly Meetup events is to bring together and establish networks between people who are already involved in or want to get involved in providing support and services for refugees.
The event programme:
• Start of the event at 7pm with a brief round of introductions for all participants
• Presentation of 2-3 projects followed by a discussion – approx. 60 minutes
• An open exchange of experiences
• Participants can enjoy conversations in a relaxed bar setting whilst eating and drinking.
Participants individually order what they want and pay for it themselves. Food and drink for refugees at the event is free of charge.
Please remember to bring flyers and information on your projects with you to the event! A special table will be provided for displaying your material.
The project presentations on 10th November:
Workeer
David Jacob will present the Workeer platform. Workeer is the first vocational training and job exchange in Germany that is specifically tailored to suit the needs and requirements of refugees. The aim of the platform is to create a suitable environment in which this special group of jobseekers can find employers who have a positive attitude towards refugees and will welcome them to their companies. Workeer uses employer and applicant profiles and a multitude of job vacancies in different industries and locations all over Germany to enable refugees and employers to establish contact and communicate without any problems or complications.
Projekt IPO25 – the Refugee Help Center
Mandy Bachmann, Cathrin Ebner and Akif Sirlak will present Projekt IPO25 – the Refugee Help Center. The project aims to create a contact point and an information, communication and networking centre for refugees, immigrants and volunteers that is also open outside the normal opening hours of the local helpdesks and information centres, namely at the weekend and in the afternoon/evening. Helpers are supported by the centre’s collection of computers, fax machines, photocopiers etc., which provide individuals new to Berlin with resources and tools that they can use to find out more about life in the city and in Germany. The helpers are available to provide support and advice where needed. The rooms in the centre at Oranienstraße 25 can also be used as venues for information events etc.
The Language Cafés in Oranienstraße
The meetings for helpers involved in Projekt IPO25 lead to new project ideas such as the „Sprachcafé“ language cafés, which will also be separately presented by Akif Sirlak.
New helpers are always welcome to join the project in line with the motto of: „We are only strong when we work together“.
The Welcome Meetup
The Welcome Meetup Berlin was launched in September 2016 as a monthly series of gatherings that wants to bring YOU together and network with YOU:
– Initiators + helpers of projects, initiatives or associations working to provide support and services for refugees
– Communication experts, multipliers and (potential) helpers who can spare time to provide their support and want to get a general idea of what projects are available and where they can get involved – Refugees who can provide the initiatives with an insight into the areas in which they would like to receive more support and, of course, refugees who want to get involved themselves
